Richard Sandbrook made his mark with a life dedicated to bringing about positive change in the world. Several initiatives have been set up in his name to encourage the next generation to follow in his footsteps.
Students at Oxford University’s Exeter College can apply for a Sandbrook Scholarship bursary to cover a working placement with either the International Union for Conservation of Nature or the International Institute for Environment and Development. Since 1996, Forum for the Future has been training the sustainability leaders of the future. More than 150 students have graduated from the Leadership for Sustainable Development Masters programme, with many already making their mark as think-tank directors and government advisors.
